GETTYSBURG, Pa. --- Courtney Todd fired the second no-hitter of her collegiate career and extended her streak of innings without allowing an earned run to 47 as Gettysburg swept a doubleheader from Dickinson, 1-0 and 4-1, in Centennial Conference (CC) softball action on Tuesday.
Todd was nearly perfect in the opener, striking out eight while allowing only one baserunner on a walk to Dickinson's Kate Fry in the third inning. Sarah Stokes picked up the win in game two, allowing only two hits and one run in four innings before Melissa Hazzard stepped in and retire five to close the afternoon.
Megan Wargo went 3-for-4 on the afternoon with one RBI and one triple, while Jen White went 2-for-3 in game two with two runs scored and a double.
The Bullets notched the only run of game one in the game's opening inning. Lead-off swinger Jenna Pabst collected a single, stole second and advanced to third on a past ball. She then notched the only Bullet run when Mandy Wilson hit to second to force a fielder's choice at first.
Todd's other no-hitter came in a 3-0 victory over Lebanon Valley in 1999.
The Bullets return to action on Saturday, April 15 at Swarthmore for a Centennial Conference Double header. Game time is 1 p.m.
