GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Emily McAuliffe (Lowville, NY/Lowville Academy) and Katie Langmore (Boxboro, MA/Acton-Boxboro) both tallied a pair of goals as defending Centennial Conference (CC) champion Gettysburg College blanked Bryn Mawr 9-0 in CC women's soccer action on Saturday.
Rachael Rzemieniewski (Neshanic, NJ/Immaculata) scored first for Gettysburg (4-2, 2-0 CC), tallying her fourth goal in three games to open a barrage of Bullet shots on goal. In the next four and half minutes McAuliffe would notch her pair while Lauren Melillo (Lewisburg, PA/Lewisburg) would add a single goal. Before the half was out Ashley Froman (Glen Arm, MD/Loch Raven) and Langmore would push the Bullet lead to 6-0.
Rebecca Gorby (Battleboro, NC/Northern Nash) opened the second half for the Bullets, slotting her first collegiate goal at the 72:25 mark, while Langmore returned for her second score of the match at 79:02. Freshman Carla Roehrich (Shelton, CT/St. Joseph) finished out the Gettysburg scoring onslaught, netting the ninth and final goal at 80:17.
The Bullets return to action on Wednesday, September 20 when they travel to Elizabethtown College. Game time is 4 p.m.
