GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Christina DiTucci (East Rochester, NY/Our Lady of Mercy) scored a pair of goals and added an assist to help Gettysburg defeat Washington (Md.) 7-1 in Centennial Conference (CC) action on Saturday.

After leading 2-1 at halftime, the Bullets scored five unanswered goals in the second half. DiTucci helped start the scoring in the second half, when Liz Wesolowski (White Plains, NY/Ursuline) knocked in DiTucci's rebound in the 46th minute.

DiTucci scored two goals back-to-back for Gettysburg. The freshman netted a goal into the right netting from a Jenny Line (Carlisle, PA/Carlisle) assist in the 49th minute. Seconds later, DiTucci scored her fourth goal of the season from a Wesolowski assist. It is the freshman's first two-goal performance.

Line gave the Bullets an early 1-0 lead when she netted her team-leading seventh goal of the season in the 11th minute.

The Shorewomen, however, struck back when Jordan Rogers scored from a Kerry O'Keefe assist in the 19th minute.

Kristen Salmond (Westfield, NJ/Westfield) scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 24th minute from an Ashley Froman (Glen Arm, MD/Loch Raven) assist.

Liz Feldhusen (Acton, MA/Acton-Boxboro) scored a goal in her second-straight game off a Stephanie Mann (Ridgefield, CT/Ridgefield) assist. It was Mann's first collegiate point.

After DiTucci's two scores, Maureen O'Donnell (Philadelphia, PA/St. Basil Academy) capped the game off with a goal from assist by Taryn Chomik (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) and Mann in the 88th minute.

Gettysburg outshot Washington 29-3 in the game. Besides Rogers' goal in the first half, the only other scoring opportunity for the Shorewomen was a Carly Hankins' shot that was stopped by a diving Bullets' goalkeeper Carine Doyle (Exton, PA/Bishop Shanahan) in the 79th minute.

Doyle had one save for the Gettysburg while Mandy Higdon and Jennifer Chapman combined for 12 stops in the game for Washington.

The Bullets improved to 8-4 on the year, and 5-0 in the CC, while the Shorewomen fall to 3-8-2 overall and 1-4 in the conference.

Gettysburg returns to action Wednesday when they travel to conference rival Johns Hopkins. Start time is 7 p.m.
