Mike Monroe (Alexandria, VA/Bishop Ireton) added all nine of his points during a decisive 18-7 second-half run that helped the Bullets (14-8, 9-2 CC) pull away from the pesky Green Terror (7-15, 3-8 CC) to remain in first place in the CC West Division.
Jack Kowalik led all scorers with 23 points for Western Maryland, which lost for the eighth straight game.
After trailing by as many as seven points in the first half and 38-35 with 19:48 remaining, Gettysburg rallied for its eighth win in the last nine games behind a flurry of 3-pointers and backdoor layups.
Kowalik tied the game for the final time at 44 with one of his four 3-pointers on the night at the 15:26 mark of the second half.
On the Bullets' next possession, leading scorer Curtis McNeil (Alexandria, VA/St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) was fouled on a cutting layup and converted the 3-point play to put Gettysburg ahead for good at 47-44 with 15:06 left.
Kevin Boyle (Dublin, PA/Lansdale Catholic) knocked down a 3-pointer to push the lead to 50-44 before James Jegede drained a 19-footer to pull the Green Terror within 50-47 at the 13:15 mark.
From there, Gettysburg's forward tandem of Boyle and Monroe took over.
Boyle knocked down another 3-pointer and Callahan scored on a cutting layup to make it 55-49.
Kowalik answered with a quick transition bucket, but Monroe, who had only hit eight 3-pointers on the season entering the game, sandwiched a pair of 3-pointers around a McNeil pull-up jumper for a quick eight points that extended the Gettysburg lead to 63-51 with 7:07 left.
Sam Anstead answered with a trey of his own to pull the Green Terror within nine, but Monroe turned a backdoor layup into a 3-point play and McNeil scored off a steal in the backcourt to give the Bullets a 68-54 lead at the 5:19 mark.
Western Maryland cut the deficit to single digits when Kowalik nailed his last three at 1:59 for a 73-64 Bullet lead, but Schreiber iced the win with four free throws in the final minute.
Behind 13 points from Kowalik and eight from John Pearson, the Green Terror led for most of the first half before taking a 36-35 lead into the locker room.
Schreiber's nine assists tied a career high, last reached against Haverford last season. Jim Natale (Washington Crossing, PA/Council Rock) added eight points and hauled in a career-high 10 rebounds in the win while McNeil scored all 10 of his points in the second half.
Pearson also reached double digits for the Green Terror with 10.
