ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Freshman Erin Taylor (Pasadena, MD/Chesapeake) improved to 5-1 with a seven-hit complete-game victory to help Gettysburg split a doubleheader with Muhlenberg in Centennial Conference (CC) softball action on Saturday.
The Bullets (9-4, 3-1 CC) used three errors to score three times in the sixth inning en route to a 4-1 win in the opener. In the second game, Angie Tyson fired a six-hit shutout to lead the Mules (8-11, 1-1 CC) to a 4-0 victory, marking the fifth straight doubleheader split between the two programs.

In the opener, Muhlenberg jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning, but was held off the scoreboard the rest of the way.
Gettysburg tied the game in the third inning when Jenna Pabst (Boonton Twp., NJ/Mountain Lakes) reached on a two-out single, moved to second on an error and scored on a single by Wilson.
With Taylor keeping the Mule bats in check, the Bullets took control with three runs in the sixth.
Wilson reached on an error to open the frame, moved to second on a one-out single from Emily Boardman (Rome, PA/Northeast Bradford) and scored on an error off the bat of Jen White (Quakertown, PA/Pennridge) to make it 2-1.
