GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Clayton Krum (Hellertown,
PA/Moravian Academy) scored the game-winning goal
in the 86th minute to give Gettysburg a 2-1 victory over Frostburg
State on the season-opener for both teams on Saturday.
Krum beat three defenders to net the
decisive goal and give the Bullets their second consecutive
season-opening win against the Bobcats.
Gettysburg took a 1-0 lead when Michael
Bruno (Harrisburg, PA/Susquehanna Twp.) knocked home
the rebound of a Mike McLaughlin (Swampscott, MA/Northfield
Mt. Hermon) shot in the 20th minute.
Phillip Rub scored the
lone goal for the Bobcats in the 40th minute to knot the game
at one.
Steve Kopp (Upper Montclair, NJ/Montclair)
recorded five saves for the Bullets while the Bobcats’ Mike
Pregnall had five stops.
Gettysburg improves to 1-0 on the season
and will travel to Susquehanna on Tuesday for a 4:30 p.m.
game.
