GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Nicole Hundley netted
the game-winning goal to lead No. 15 Elizabethtown over Gettysburg
1-0 in non-conference women's soccer action on Thursday.
Hundley scored the game-winner near the left post off a cross
from Robin Felix in the 79th minute. The Bullets could
manage only three shots in the game.
Kristen Salmond (Westfield, NJ/Westfield) and Christina
DiTucci (East Rochester, NY/Our Lady of Mercy) each had
a shot stopped by Blue Jay goalkeeper Jackie Shoustal in the
first half. Elizabethtown outshot Gettysburg 10-3 in the game.
Shoustal had two saves for the Blue Jays while Carine Doyle
(Exton, PA/Bishop Shanahan) had three stops for the Bullets.
Elizabethtown improves to 8-3 on the year while Gettysburg
falls to 5-4. The Bullets return to action on Saturday, Sept.
29 when they travel to Bryn Mawr in Centennial Conference
(CC) action. Game time is 1 p.m.
