Jessica Cortese (Lancaster, PA/Hempfield) , averaging 3.23 kills per game, posted 12 kills to help the Bullets (12-11, 3-1 CC) win their third consecutive conference match.

In game one, Gettysburg jumped out to a 23-10 lead with the help of a 7-0 run and two aces by Cortese. The Bullets captured seven points while only giving up five points to win the first set 30-15.

The Green Terror (11-10, 3-3 CC) opened game two with four service aces by Krista Eiser to take an early lead but it wouldn't hold up as the Bullets rallied back to tie the game at 12 on a Jayme Massey (Springfield, PA/Merion Mercy Acad.) kill.

Gettysburg capitalized on three McDaniel attack errors to give the Bullets their first lead at 16-13. Trailing 19-15, the Green Terror took their first timeout. Massey sparked a 7-0 burst with two kills that gave way for a 30-22 victory and a 2-0 lead.

In the final game, two kills and a block by Erica Rau (Oakland Park, FL/Pinecrest) in an 8-2 run put Gettysburg up 20-13, forcing a McDaniel timeout. The Bullets closed out the Green Terror's comeback attempt with the four kills from Cortese to seal the win, 30-23.

Nicole Barr (Annapolis, MD/Broadneck) knocked down nine kills and eight digs on the night while Rau tallied five kills and two blocks in the win.

The Bullets return to action on Saturday for a conference tri-match against Muhlenberg and Washington. Match time is 11 a.m.
