Box Score

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Jenny Line (Carlisle, PA/Carlisle) scored the game-winner in the 101st minute to lead Gettysburg past Muhlenberg 1-0 in the Centennial Conference (CC) semifinals on Saturday.

With the victory, the Bullets (11-6-2) advance to the CC championship game on Sunday where they will face Johns Hopkins after the Blue Jays defeated Franklin & Marshall 2-1 in the other semifinal contest. Game time is 1 p.m.

Johns Hopkins has won two straight against Gettysburg. The Blue Jays knocked Gettysburg out of the CC tournament last year with a 2-0 victory on Oct. 27, 2001 in Allentown and then defeated the Bullets 3-2 in double overtime on Nov. 5.

Line netted her team-leading sixth goal of the season to help Gettysburg end a three-game winless streak against the Mules (13-7). Christina DiTucci (East Rochester, NY/Our Lady of Mercy) assisted on the game-winner.

Kim Laurino made four saves in the losing effort. Freshman Katie Simmons (Altamont, NY/Guilderland) made six stops for the Bullets for the team's eighth shutout of the season.

The two teams battled for 100 minutes before Gettysburg scored and continue its quest for a fifth CC crown.

Line scored her first goal against Muhlenberg at the 100:46 mark after DiTucci intercepted the ball from a Mule defender.

Becky Armstrong led Muhlenberg with six shots as the Mules outshot the Bullets 20-13 in the game.
