 DISNEY, Fla. - Julika Blankenship 
                    (Crumpton, MD/Kent County) scored three times and 
                    added an assist to lead No. 6 Gettysburg past Denison 15-8 
                    in non-conference women's lacrosse action on Thursday. 
                  
Blankenship recorded four points including 
                    her first three goals of the season in the contest. 
                  Becky Bucha (Waccabuc, NY/John Jay) 
                    and Megan Murphy (Wilton, CT/Wilton) 
                    added two goals and three assists apiece. Kathryn Grassel 
                    (Dix Hills, NY/Half Hollows Hills East) chipped in 
                    two goals while Casey Costello (Tiburon, CA/Santa Cantalina 
                    School) netted a goal and added two assists in the 
                    winning effort. 
                  Katie Keating led the Big Red 
                    with two goals and one assists, while Stephanie Pratzer 
                    added two goals in the losing effort. 
                  Denison (0-2) was no match for the Bullets 
                    (3-1) as Gettysburg jumped out to a 7-0 lead and never looked 
                    back to cruise to their third victory of the season. 
                  The trio of Bucha, Blankenship and Murphy 
                    fueled the 7-0 with two goals and two assists apiece during 
                    that stretch. Jess Segar (West Chester, PA/Villa Maria 
                    Academy) notched the other goal to give Gettysburg 
                    a convincing 7-0 lead 18:04 into the game. 
                  The Big Red got on the scoreboard less then 
                    a minute later, but the Bullets scored three more unanswered 
                    goals to go into halftime with a 10-1 lead. 
                  Katie Coulson (Devon, PA/Shipley School) 
                    and Katie Mishler (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) 
                    each scored their first collegiate goals in the game. Katie 
                    Lowe (Setauket, NY/Ward Melville) and Cassidy Zappacosta 
                    (Monkton, MD/Maryvale Prep.) notched their first collegiate 
                    assists. Lowe recorded her first collegiate goals in the 16-6 
                    win over Messiah on March 7. 
                  Candace Fisch (New Canaan, CT/Lawrence 
                    School [NJ]) and Jacquie O'Connor (Ridgewood, 
                    NJ/Ridgewood) each scored a goals while Jess 
                    Hanson (Hunt Valley, MD/Maryvale Prep.) and Anna 
                    Haugen (Bethpage, NY/Bethpage) recorded assists for 
                    Gettysburg. 
                    
                  The Bullets return to action on Wednesday 
                    when they face off against Drew for Gettysburg's home opener.
