Line scored her third goal of the season early in the first half to help the Bullets (9-3, 5-0 CC) win their fifth straight over the Shorewomen (4-7, 0-5 CC) and remain undefeated in the CC.

Freshman Laurie Goon (Baltimore, MD/Loch Raven) recorded her first-collegiate assist while Katie Simmons (Altamont, NY/Guilderland) tallied one save to collect her fourth-straight shutout and sixth overall this season.

Jennifer Chapman posted a game-high eight saves for Washington.

Only scoring two goals in the last two games, Gettysburg relied on the defense that has only allowed eight goals this season to capture their ninth victory.

Line knocked the ball in to the right-side panel of the goal at the 21:18 mark of the first half for the only goal the Bullets needed. Goon slipped the ball to Line inside the 18, before she beat the defender and blasted a right-footed shot past Chapman for the 1-0 lead.

Gettysburg turned five shots in the first half to 12 in the second half while not allowing a shot from the Shorewomen until the 66th minute.

Freshman Kat Poster (Scarsdale, NY/Scarsdale), making her fifth appearance for the Bullets, took a shot from the left side in the 58th minute that hit the crossbar.

Leah Hyde (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury) sent her header wide off a cross by Steph Smith (Milford, NY/Cooperstown) in the 80th minute, before Chapman made the diving save on Andrea Lipkin's (Easton, PA/Easton) header from a corner kick by Hyde.

Washington put the pressure on in the last five minutes looking for the equalizer, but Simmons scooped up a Laura Mozzer shot with 4:48 left to play.

Gettysburg returns to action on Wednesday at Johns Hopkins. Game time is 7 p.m.
