Box Score vs. Arcadia | Box Score vs. Concordia

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Jackie Pareso (Washington, PA/Canevin Catholic) hit a RBI single in the sixth inning to knock in Jenna Pabst (Boonton Twp., NJ/Mountain Lakes) for the game-winning run as Gettysburg defeated Arcadia 2-1 on the final day of softball action in Myrtle Beach. The Bullets (4-2) went on to defeat Concordia 4-2 in the nightcap.

Sophomore Lauren Bourne (Oqunquit, ME/Wells) (1-1) recorded her first complete-game victory of the season in game one, limiting the Knights to two hits and one run.

Tied 1-1 in the top of the sixth inning, Pabst beat the throw home to score on a line drive by the shortstop by Pareso for the 2-1 win.

The Knights managed to tie the game in the bottom of the third after Maggie Schaeffer walked with the bases loaded to plate Becky Kimble.

The Bullets took the early lead in the second inning when Mastropaolo scored from third on a wild pitch by Kimble.

Riding the late-inning heroics against Arcadia, Gettysburg scored three runs in the first inning against Concordia on its way to a 4-2 victory.

Concordia got on the scoreboard with single runs in the second and third inning to close the gap to 3-2 on two RBI singles.

In the bottom of the third, Pareso smacked her second triple of the season into center field and then scored an insurance run on a pass ball to make the score, 4-2.
