Steadman scored the game-winning goal and her third goal of the season in the 17th minute. Gasiorowski knocked in the final goal late in the second half to help the Falcons (7-1) post their fourth-straight shutout victory over the Bullets (4-3).

Maggie Futato collected her sixth shutout of the season while Katie Simmons (Altamont, NY/Guiderland) recorded a season-high eight saves for Gettysburg.

Although both teams played with intensity for 90 minutes, Messiah tested the Bullet defense early and found the twine twice to come away with its seventh victory of the season.

Steadman's right-footed shot bended into the left siding of the net after Erin Benedict made the pass from the corner of endline and the 18-yard box with 28 minutes, 56 seconds left in the first half.

The defensive battle continued into the second half with Simmons making diving saves along the way, but Gasiorowski managed to add an insurance goal for the Falcons at the 70:45 mark.

After a scramble six yards out, Savannah Slotzenburg's header found Gasiorowski's foot and her sliding shot went into the right corner of goal and barely past Simmons.

Despite being outshot 16-2, Gettysburg never let down and had their best scoring opportunities come in the final eight minutes of the game.

Katie Myers (Randallstown, MD/Western Voc. Tech) beat Futato on an airborne ball, before a Messiah defender stopped the freshman from tapping the ball into the open net with eight minutes left in the game.

Just one minute, 45 seconds later, Megan Murphy (Stony Brook, NY/Ward Melville) cranked out a shot from 20 yards out that went over the crossbar.

The Bullets to action on Saturday at Swarthmore. Game time is 12 p.m.
