GETTYSBURG, Pa. –Kat Poster (Scarsdale, NY/Scarsdale) scored the eventual game-winner to help No. 18 Gettysburg roll past Franklin & Marshall 2-0 in Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer action on Wednesday.
With the win, the Bullets (11-2-2, 8-0 CC) extend their unbeaten streak to 13 games, the longest stretch since 1993 when the team went for 14 games without a loss. Gettysburg also remains the only team perfect in the CC, collecting its sixth shutout victory in conference play.
Poster put the Bullets on the board off a cross from Jenny Line (Carlisle, PA/Carlisle) in the 33rd minute. The goal was Poster's third of the season, while Line recorded her third assist of the year.
Katie Ferraro (Westminster, CO/St. Mary's Academy) scored an unassisted insurance goal for Gettysburg at the 86:02 mark, giving her five goals on the season.
The Bullets took all 14 of their shots on goal, resulting in 12 saves for Franklin & Marshall goalkeeper Melissa Ruff.
Gettysburg netminder Kristin Short (Massapequa, NY/St. Anthony's) made one save on the Diplomats' only shot of the game.
The Bullets return to conference action on Saturday at Haverford. Game time is 11:00 a.m.
