CHESTERTOWN, Md. –Kat Poster (Scarsdale, NY/Scarsdale) scored a goal and made two assists to lead No. 21 Gettysburg (8-2-2, 5-0 CC) to a 5-0 blanking of Washington (1-7-2, 0-4-1 CC) in Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer action on Saturday.
Christina DiTucci (E. Rochester, NY/Our Lady of Mercy) recorded her second three-assist game this season. With the feat, DiTucci claimed the spot as Gettysburg's second all-time assist scorer with 24, passing Tracy Blasius ('94) who had 23 in her career.
Poster and DiTucci helped the Bullets extend their unbeaten streak to ten and remain un-scored upon in the conference after five games.
Steph Smith (Cooperstown, NY/Cooperstown) put the Bullets on the board, netting the eventual game-winner at 20:29 off a corner kick serve from DiTucci. The mark was Smith third goal this year.
Poster began her career day, netting her second goal this season off a pass from DiTucci in the 43rd minute to put Gettysburg up 2-0 at halftime.
Katie Myers (Randallstown, MD/WSTES), the Bullets leading scorer with nine goals, found the back of the net in the 58th minute off an assist from DiTucci.
Poster found Janelle Fabian (Souderton, PA/Souderton) for her third goal this season at 85:22, then set up Kelly Burke (Greenwood Village, CO/St. Mary's Academy) for her first career goal with fewer than three minutes left.
The Bullets outshot the Shorewomen 20-2 and had a 3-0 edge in corner kicks.
Allie Loeb (Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery) made one save and recorded her first career shutout, while Jennifer Chapman tallied seven saves in the losing effort.
The Bullets return to conference action on Wednesday against Johns Hopkins. Game time is 7 p.m.
