Tabor (Kinnelon, NJ/Kinnelon
netted his first and second collegiate goals to put Gettysburg
past No. 24 St. Marys (Md.) 2-1 in non-conference
action Saturday.
In
a close game overall, it was Mikael Tigrett
who put the Seahawks on the board in the 11th
minute, netting a goal off a pass from Brian Wolcott.
Tabor
scored his first goal off an assist from Chris
Borcik (Reisterstown, MD/Franklin)
in the 32nd minute to tie the game at one going
into halftime.
Tabor
tallied his second goal and game-winner off a pass from
David Pone (Bordenton,
NJ/Bordenton)
in the 62nd minute to put it away for the Bullets.
Both
Gettysburg and St. Marys fired 15 shots,
while the Bullets had a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks over
the Seahawks.
In
goal, Nick Well-Bundtzen
(Williamstown, MA/Mt. Greylock) tallied five
saves, while Rick
Besore also gathered five saves in the losing effort.
The
Bullets return to action on Wednesday when they host York
College.
