GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Mike Pattanite (Tabernacle, NJ/Holy Cross) won by fall in 18 seconds at heavyweight to secure the Gettysburg win and propel the Bullets to a 29-18 win over Elizabethtown in non-conference wrestling action on Tuesday.

Trailing 12-8, Daniel Donnelly (Garden City, NY/Garden City) recorded the second of three forfeits for Gettysburg (2-4) to give the hosts the lead for good.

Justin Martin gave the Blue Jays (0-7) a 3-0 lead in the match with his 10-4 win at 133, but the squad could not preserve the early lead.

John Leinberger (Great Falls, VA/Langley) followed up Donnelly's forfeit win at 174 with a 4-0 win at 184 to put the Bullets up, 23-12.

Jeff Morgan (Reston, VA/Langley) added the final Gettysburg forfeit win and Pattanite notched the match-clinching fall for a 29-12 lead.

Pete Achilles (125) rounded out the night with Etown's second forfeit win to set the final margin.

With the Bullets' down by three, freshman Matt Shank (Reedsville, PA/Indian Valley) tallied his first technical fall of his collegiate career to put Gettysburg on top, 5-3.

Tom Elicker (149) swung the advantage back to the Blue Jays with a forfeit win.

A 3-2 win by Tom Fives (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) at 157 pulled the Bullets within one at 9-8.

Kyle Hart pushed the advantage back to 12-8 with an 8-4 victory before Gettysburg made its final run.

Gettysburg returns to action on Saturday at York in a quad match with Messiah and Albright. Action begins at 12 p.m.
