GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Freshman Matt Shank (Reedsville, PA/Indian Valley) won all three of his bouts on the day, including a pin, to lead Gettysburg in a 1-2 day of dual competition in wrestling action on Saturday that included the squad's Centennial Conference (CC) opener.
In the conference opener, the Bullets (0-2, 0-1 CC) dropped a 25-15 decision to Washington & Lee as well as a 27-18 decision to Division I Davidson. Gettysburg concluded the day with a 36-21 win over Pensacola Christian, but the result does not count in the season record because the Eagles do not adhere to NCAA regulations regarding weight management.
