GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Krissy Browning (Baldwin, MD/Fallston) scored Gettysburg’s first two goals en route to a 5-0 victory over Bryn Mawr in Centennial Conference (CC) field hockey action on Sunday.

Browning’s first goal came 15 minutes into the contest on an assist from Maura Downey (Lancaster, PA/Lancaster Catholic) on a penalty corner situation. Bryn Mawr would keep the Bullets of the scoreboard for the remainder of the first half.

With the win, Gettysburg clinches a berth in the CC playoffs.

Meg Goddu (Chadds Ford, PA/Unionville) assisted Browning’s second goal eight minutes and 50 seconds into the second half. Three minutes and 27 seconds later, Goddu collected an unassisted goal of her own.

Essie Mallonee (Baltimore, MD/Park School) and Laura Fronduti (Media, PA/Penncrest) each collected an unassisted score in the second half.

Katherine Corkhill (Paoli, PA/Academy of Notre Dame) collected her sixth shutout of the season in the cage for the Bullets.

Gettysburg held a 24-3 edge in shots and a 14-3 advantage in penalty corners.

Gettysburg returns to action on Saturday at McDaniel. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
