COCKEYSVILLE, Md. – Andy Carmer (Parkton, MD/Dulaney) earned his first all-conference honors and posted a personal-best time, leading the Gettysburg men to a fifth-place finish at the Centennial Conference (CC) cross country championships on Saturday at Oregon Ridge Park.

Barb Creveling (Easton, PA/Easton) was the Bullet women’s top finisher, crossing the line in 34th as Gettysburg ran to a seventh-place showing.

The Haverford men won their 13th straight CC championship while the Dickinson women triumphed for the sixth consecutive season.

Carmer was named to the All-CC second team after finishing 12th in a time of 26:40, eight seconds better than his previous career-best time, set at the George Washington Invitational in September. He became the men’s first all-conference performer since Jon Catlett at the 2000 championships.

Senior Eric Dunklee (Barton, VT/St. Johnsbury Acad.) and freshman Frank Hoban (Dunmore, PA/Dunmore) were the next two Bullets to finish, placing 24th and 35th, respectively. Dunklee traversed the 8K course in 27:21 while Hoban posted a time of 27:43.

Chris Magette (Severna Park, MD/Severna Park) (43rd) and Phil Sebasco (East Windsor, NJ/Hightstown) (59th) closed out the Gettysburg scorers. With a time of 28:38, Sebasco knocked more than two minutes off the time he posted in the Bullets’ first race at Oregon Ridge in September.

In the women’s race, Creveling (24:22) and Ashley Hillard (Latham, NY/Shaker) (36th, 24:27) finished within five seconds of one another to lead Gettysburg. Brett Jackson (Arnold, MD/Archbishop Spalding) placed 42nd in a time of 24:40.

 Haverford’s Ian Ramsey-North (25:38) and Dickinson’s Emily Hulme (21:51) were the day’s individual winners.
