Britt Gottlieb led Mary Washington with a goal and three assists.

After watching the Eagles erase their 4-1 lead, the Bullets quickly regrouped for their second straight win over a nationally ranked opponent.

With the score tied at 4, Kathy Delauney (Lutherville, MD/Roland Park) converted one of Gettysburg’s three free-position goals on the day to make it 5-4 with 3:14 left in the first half. Kelly’s win of the ensuing draw control led to a free-position goal by Katie Hagan (Media, PA/Cardinal O’Hara) and a 6-4 lead.

Cristi Farrell (Broomall, PA/Acad. of Notre Dame) won the next draw, setting up a Kelly-to-Lowe connection with 23 seconds left before the break.

Delauney and Alexandra Ewing (Monkton, MD/Garrison Forrest) scored in the first 2 minutes, 22 seconds of the second half to cap the 5-0 run and make it 9-4.

Farrell finished with a team-high five draw controls while Kelly won four. Bullet freshman Jamie Giffuni (St. James, NY/Smithtown) collected her first collegiate point with a second-half assist. Delauney’s two goals moved her within one point of 100 for her collegiate career.
