Dickinson’s men’s and women’s teams swept the meet, but the Gettysburg men managed to grab a close win in their match-up against Franklin & Marshall, 27-29. Both races were five kilometers.

Hoban’s top Gettysburg finish was good enough for fifth overall at 17:02. Andy Carmer (Parkton, MD/Dulaney) trailed Hoban by 13 seconds, finishing seventh overall. Chris Magette (Severna Park, MD/Severna Park), Kevin Lawrence (West Caldwell, NJ/James Caldwell) and Jimmy McNamara (Webster, NY/Webster) rounded out the top five finishers for Gettysburg.

Anna Markowitz (Maguire, PA/Allentown Central) finished first among Gettysburg runners and 16th overall in a time of 21:47. Rachel Guthridge (Schwenksville, PA/The Hill School), Becca Zabel (Frederick, MD/Urbana), Barbara Creveling (Easton, PA/Easton) and Brett Jackson (Arnold, MD/Archbishop Spalding) rounded out the top five finishers for Gettysburg. All five finished within one minute of each other.

Gettysburg returns to action on Saturday against Juniata and Messiah hosted by the Falcons. The women’s race starts at 10:15 a.m., followed by the men at 11:15 a.m.
