GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Freshman forward Courtney Fields (Baltimore, Md./St. Paul's School for Girls) scored a game-high 17 points, and senior captain Katie Reilly (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) added her third double-double of the season to lead Gettysburg to a 74-58 victory against Haverford in Centennial Conference (CC) action on Saturday afternoon at Bream Gymnasium.

Fields and Reilly, who had 12 points, 10 rebounds, four steals, two assists and two blocks, were two of the four Bullets (10-5, 7-2 CC) to score in double figures. Freshman guard Allie Drechsler (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) scored 14, while classmate Ali Goldsmith (Farmingdale, N.J./Howell) added 12. Freshman forward Nicole Dobranski (Albertson, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) pulled down a career-high 11 rebounds and missed her first collegiate double-double by one point.

The Fords (2-10, 1-6 CC) got a team-best 11 points from sophomore guard Kathleen Abels. Freshman guard Sara Cram chipped in with 10.

The Bullets got the lead just five seconds into the game on a jumper by Drechsler and never trailed. They led by 21 three times in the opening session, including at the half, at which point they owned a 46-25 advantage. Gettysburg used a 53.1 shooting percentage (17-of-32) to build the lead over a team that shot just 24.0 percent (6-for-25) from the floor. The home team was also aided by a 55-33 advantage on the glass.

Gettysburg pushed the lead to 28 points on a jumper by freshman forward Caroline Funchion (Devon, Pa./Conestoga) with 8:46 to play, and cruised to victory.

The Bullets will return to action on Wednesday when they will take on Dickinson in a Centennial Conference contest at Bream Gymnasium. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
