Pat Vaughan (Cockeysville, Md./Loyola Blakefield) blanked Muhlenberg for 51:25 and made 13 saves to guide No. 7 Gettysburg to an 11-1 win in Centennial Conference (CC) action at Scotty Wood Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Mules' single goal is the fewest the Bullets have allowed against a conference team since defeating Swarthmore 22-1 in 1999, and Gettysburg is allowing just 3.17 goals per game this season.

For the Mules (4-2, 0-2 CC), junior midfielder Kyle Farris scored the team's only goal with an assist going to freshman goalie Andrew Bell. Bell made seven saves in the game.
The Bullets scored three goals in a span of 2:51 midway through the first quarter to take what would prove to be an insurmountable lead. Hewitt scored with 10:00 showing on the clock. Just 1:16 later, senior captain
Greg Montgomery (Asheville, N.C./St. Andrew's School [Del.]) netted his first goal of the season. Sufrin capped the run with a strike at the 7:09 mark. Gettysburg closed out the first quarter scoring at the 1:30 mark. Sophomore midfielder
Tommy Kehoe (Coraopolis, Pa./Sewickley Academy) scored his first goal as a Bullet on an assist from junior defenseman
Andrew McGann (Laguna, Calif./Holderness School [N.H.]). The assist was McGann's first career point.
It took the Bullets just 34 seconds to score in the second quarter, getting a man-up goal from senior midfielder
Ted Leonard (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven). Dyer picked up the assist on the play. Overall, Gettysburg converted two of five extra-man opportunities while holding Muhlenberg scoreless on four chances.
Gettysburg added three more goals before halftime and would tally three more in the second half before the Mules were finally able to get on the board with 8:35 to play.
Shortly after the shutout was broken up, Vaughan gave way to sophomore goalie Zachary Furshman (Miami, Fla./Kent School [Conn.]). Furshman stopped the only shot on goal he faced. For the season, he has five saves and no goals allowed in over 17 minutes of action.
The Bullets return to action on Wednesday when they play host to Dickinson in a CC game at Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
