WESTMINSTER, Md. – No. 4 Gettysburg scored the first eight goals of the game and was up 12-1 in just 15:27 en route to a 21-4 win against McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) action at Scott S. Bair Stadium on Thursday afternoon. The Bullets got at least five points from five different players in winning their fifth straight game. They also used their biggest offensive outburst in nearly two years to move into a tie for first place in the conference with No. 1 Franklin & Marshall.
Gettysburg (11-1, 6-0 CC) junior attacker
Krissy Browning (Baldwin, Md./Fallston) tallied season highs with five goals and six points. Junior midfielder
Katie Ceglarski (Darien, Conn./Darien) handed out a career-high five assists in the game. Senior attacker

Freshman goalie
Kristen Krammer (Woodbine, Md./Glenelg) made seven stops on 18 total shots and allowed just four goals. Junior defender
Callie Gates (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) also had a big day. She had game highs with five ground balls and four caused turnovers. In addition, she scored her first career goal early in the second half.
The Green Terror (8-3, 2-3 CC) got a pair of goals from senior midfielder Connie Wuenschel. She was the only McDaniel player with more than one point.
Gettysburg dominated the game across the board. The Bullets held a 33-18 advantage in shots and converted 14-of-18 clear attempts while holding the Green Terror to 8-of-16. However, the key to the game was Gettysburg's 20-7 advantage in draw controls, which kept the ball in the McDaniel end for a majority of the game.
It took the Bullets just 9:29 to jump out to an 8-0 lead in the game. Ceglarski assisted on three of those markers. McDaniel broke up the run on a goal from senior attacker Emily Funk at the 18:30 mark, but four minutes later, Gettysburg had completed a 4-0 run in a span of 2:57. Senior captain
Katie Hagan (Media, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) started the run with an unassisted strike. She would end up with two goals and two assists for four points. Just 38 seconds later, Browning completed her hat trick with nearly 47 minutes to play. Ceglarski assisted that goal and Ewing's marker that followed 32 seconds later.
The Green Terror scored the last two goals of the half, coming 10 minutes apart, to end the period in a 12-3 hole.
Moore and Ewing put the finishing touches on their hat tricks in the first three minutes after halftime. Moore scored unassisted at the 29:30 mark, and Ewing converted a free-position attempt just over two minutes later. Wuenschel's second goal of the game came with more than 25 minutes to go, but that would be all for the home squad. Gettysburg tallied the final seven goals of the game, including Betts' third at the 8:26 mark.
Gettysburg will be back in action on Saturday when the Bullets travel to Collegeville, Pa., to take on Ursinus. The opening draw is set for 11:30 a.m.
