Box Score

LANCASTER, Pa. – Junior midfielder Megan Moore (Chestertown, Md./Gunston Day School) and senior attacker Alexandra Ewing (Baltimore, Md./Garrison Forest) each recorded hat tricks to help No. 4 Gettysburg to a 13-6 win against No. 15 Dickinson in the Centennial Conference (CC) semifinals at Franklin & Marshall's Sponaugle-Williamson Field on Saturday afternoon. The Bullets will take on No. 1 Franklin & Marshall on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. to determine the 2007 CC champion and the conference's automatic berth in the NCAA tournament.

Moore added an assist to tie senior captain Katie Hagan (Media, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) for the game high with four points. Hagan had a pair of goals and two assists. Bullet (15-2) freshman goalie Kristen Krammer (Woodbine, Md./Glenelg) made a career-high 11 saves in her first collegiate postseason appearance. She also picked up seven ground balls. Junior midfielder Katie Ceglarski (Darien, Conn./Darien) had a goal, two assists, five ground balls, a draw control and three caused turnovers.

The Red Devils (10-6), making their third straight CC tournament appearance, were led by two goals each from freshman midfielder Alyssa Crellin and senior midfielder Laura Williams.

Crellin got the scoring started in the first minute of the game on an assist from sophomore midfielder Amy Jennings. From there, the first half was mostly Gettysburg.

The Bullets scored the game's next six goals over a 17:13 span. Ewing scored the last goal in that run for Gettysburg at the 4:50 mark, followed just 10 seconds later by an unassisted strike from Williams. Ewing would follow that with two scores in the final 1:02 to complete the hat trick and pick up her third game winner of the year.

With Dickinson trailing 8-2, Crellin converted a free-position shot 2:31 into the second half. The Bullets countered with another 4-0 that put the game out of reach at 12-3 with just over four minutes to play in regulation.

Williams and sophomore midfielder Ana Sokol each scored for the Red Devils, making it 12-5 with 1:21 to go. The teams then traded goals to set the final margin. Gettysburg's last goal of the game came with 1:01 showing on the clock, and it was the first career marker for freshman defender Mary Peters (Cranbury, N.J./Princeton Day School).

When the Bullets take the field on Sunday against Franklin & Marshall, they will be playing the current No. 1 team in the country for the third time this season. They defeated The College of New Jersey, 9-8, in overtime on Apr. 6 and fell to the Diplomats, 9-3, last Saturday. Gettysburg will be playing for its sixth straight CC crown and seventh overall, while Franklin & Marshall will be looking to hoist the conference trophy for the first time.
