ST. DAVIDS, Pa. – Sophomore Geoff Menge (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) scored on a header in the second overtime to give the Gettysburg College men's soccer team a 1-0 victory over host Eastern University in the season opener for both teams Saturday afternoon.

Menge's goal was set up by a cross to left post from sophomore Ryan Shaffer (Biglerville, Pa./Biglerville) in the 107th minute. After a partial clear, Menge raced in to send home the game-winner from six yards out.

Junior Adam Finkel (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) picked up the shutout in goal for Gettysburg.

The Bullets return to the pitch on Sunday, when they visit Wesley College in another non-conference match starting at 1 p.m.
