GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Ryan Taibl converted a turnover into a goal in the 58th minute and the University of Mary Washington spoiled Gettysburg's home opener, slipping by the Bullets 1-0 Saturday evening in front of a large crowd at Clark Field.

Taibl picked off a pass in Gettysburg's defensive end, then rolled a shot across his body and inside the right post for the game's only score.

Gettysburg (2-2) out-shot the Eagles 12-6 but Emmet Rutkowski saved all four shots on goal to earn his third shutout of the season for Mary Washington (4-0), which remained undefeated.

Junior goalie Adam Finkel (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) made one save for the Bullets.

Gettysburg returns to action on Tuesday, when it visits No. 6-ranked Messiah College at 7 p.m.
