BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Bryn Mawr College scored the first four points of the game, but that was the extent of the deficit for the Gettysburg College women's basketball team as the visiting Bullets raced off to a 21-point halftime lead and never looked back, eventually securing an 84-43 Centennial Conference victory on Wednesday night.

Gettysburg improved its season mark to 7-4 overall and 4-1 in the conference, while Bryn Mawr dropped to 3-8, 0-5 CC. The Bullets shot a season-high 53.8 percent (35-of-65) from the field in the game, including 9-of-19 from beyond the arc. Four players reached double-figures for the Orange & Blue, led by freshman Caitlin Moser's (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing) 14 points. Senior Megan Hartman (Lewistown, Pa./Indian Valley) and junior Margaret White (Burke, Va./James W. Robinson) each contributed 11 points, while junior Emily Harwood (Rockville, Md./Magruder) notched a career-high 10 points.

The hosts took the surprising lead with back-to-back buckets to start the game, but Hartman and Moser pulled the Bullets back to a tie with jumpers. Bryn Mawr still managed to hang around, however, tying the game once again with a three-pointer by Katie Driscoll at 13:41 which made it 7-7, and staying within six points (21-15) with under five minutes remaining in the opening stanza. A furious run by Gettysburg over the final minutes of the period doused any hope of trimming the lead any more as the visitors outscored the Owls 19-4 to take a 40-19 lead at the break.

The first half proved to be just a warm-up for the Bullets as they connected on 55.9 percent (19-of-34) of their shot attempts and forced 15 turnovers in the final half of play. Gettysburg's advantage steadily grew to 30 (60-30) on a three-pointer by Kelley Andersen (Greenwood Village, Colo./Cherry Creek) at 11:31 and reached as many as 45 (84-39) in the final minutes of the contest.

Moser led the team in scoring for the sixth time already this season, doing most of her damage in the first half with 10 points. She finished 7-of-9 from the field and contributed four rebounds and three steals. Hartman reached double-figures for the third consecutive game, while White connected on a trio of three-pointers as part of her night.

Harwood's career-night came in only eight minutes of action as the Bullet junior finished a perfect 4-for-4 from the field, including nailing both of her three-point shots. Andersen and fellow first-year Caitlin Bay (Flemington, N.J./Immaculata) finished with nine and seven points, respectively.

Bryn Mawr waas led by Jessica Allen with 13 points and seven rebounds, while Shankia Bridges-King contributed 11 points.

Gettysburg continues its conference schedule with a return to the friendly confines of Bream Gymnasium against Muhlenberg College (8-3, 4-1 CC) on Saturday, Jan. 12, at 1 p.m.
