LANCASTER, Pa. – Senior Emily Harwood (Rockville, Md./Magruder) scored two goals and handed out one assist and 15th-ranked Gettysburg won its second straight Centennial Conference match, cruising to a 3-0 victory at Franklin & Marshall College Wedneday afternoon.

The Bullets (7-2, 2-1 CC), who improved to 6-0 on the road this season, controlled the game from start to finish, out-shooting the Diplomats 20-2 and holding a 15-3 advantage in corners.

Gettysburg applied the heat right from the start and was awarded eight corners in the first half, with five coming in the first nine minutes. But even though the Bullets were knocking on the door for most of the period, the game nearly went into halftime without a goal being scored. However, Harwood struck for her first goal with 1:40 on the clock, punching in a rebound on the left side of the goal to make it a 1-0 game.

In the second half, the Bullets continued to pursue the Diplomat goal and had three corners over the opening five minutes. The Orange & Blue finally broke through when junior Molly Latta (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) dumped a pass from the top of the circle into the left post to Harwood, who lifted the ball high into the cage for her second straight goal to increase her team's lead to 2-0. The goal was Harwood's third in a row dating back to the team's 4-3 win at Haverford on Saturday, when she scored the game-winner with 11 minutes left. She is now tied for the team lead with eight tallies and has already exceeded her seven-goal total from last season.

Junior Lexie Hearn (Old Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich) provided the finishing touches with 22:55 to go, taking a Harwood cross from the left and burying a shot from the right post. The goal was Hearn's eighth of the year, tying her with Harwood and senior Savannah Ruth (New Oxford, Pa./New Oxford) for the team lead.

Junior Christina Anderson (Dunkirk, Md./The Calverton School) needed to make only one save to earn her fourth shutout of the season. Jennifer Burdo stopped six shots for the Diplomats.

Gettysburg continues its season with another Centennial Conference tilt on Friday, taking on No. 4 Ursinus at 3 p.m.
