CHESTERTOWN, Md. – The Gettysburg College women's volleyball team posted its second dominating victory of the week with a three-set Centennial Conference decision over host Washington (Md.) College on Saturday. The Bullets took the match with scores of 25-10, 25-15, and 25-12 en route to improving to 13-10 overall and 5-1 in the conference.

One match removed from committing just six hitting errors against Mt. Aloysius College, Gettysburg's attack was once again fluid with only eight at Washington (11-14, 0-6 CC). Mistakes proved costly for the hosts, however, as the Shorewomen posted 26 attack errors, five service errors and 10 reception errors.

The Bullets put together a well-rounded stat sheet as everyone available saw time in the match. Junior Stephanie Rickabaugh (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) led the attack with six kills, while junior Amanda Krampf (Gaithersburg, Md./Gaithersburg), sophomore Kate Yoder (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus), and freshman Jamie Huffman (Laurel, Md./Reservoir) each tallied five kills. Rickabaugh also had a hand in three of the team's five blocks.

Krampf and freshman Rebecca Rubenstein (Bedford Hills, N.Y./Fox Lane) split the setting duties for Gettysburg, totaling 22 assists in all. Krampf and Rubenstein also tallied three service aces apiece and Rubenstein tied junior libero Kristin Kotewicz (Columbia, Md./River Hill) for team honors with seven digs.

The Bullets return to action against McDaniel College on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m. Both teams will be participating in “Digging for a Cure,” a conference-wide fund-raising effort to help fight the battle against breast cancer. The teams are taking pledges for each dig they record in the match as well as accepting flat donations with all the proceeds going to Living Beyond Breast Cancer.
