GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Senior
Katie Ceglarski (Darien, Conn./Darien) wasted little time in getting a career milestone out of the way, scoring each of the first three goals to become just the sixth Gettysburg College women's lacrosse player with 200 career points. Ceglarski finished with four goals and two assists overall, leading the third-ranked Bullets to a dominating 19-4 non-conference victory over Messiah College at Clark Field on Wednesday.
Ceglarski posted three goals in just over two minutes following the opening draw, the second putting her over the milestone at 28:37. She joins an exclusive club at Gettysburg that includes Julika Blankenship '04 (309), Megan Murphy '03 (284), Colleen Dunn '96 (272), Becky Bucha '02 (256), and Pam Williams '88 (233). Now with 204 career points, Ceglarski is currently tied for 25th among the Centennial Conference's all-time leaders.
Gettysburg (7-0) came into Wednesday's game averaging better than 17 goals and it nearly matched that total in the first half, jumping out to a 14-4 lead at the break. Ceglarski added a goal and a pair of assists to her opening hat trick, while senior

Similar to its previous contest against Rowan University, the Bullets played lockdown defense in the final period, holding Messiah (1-2) to just five total shots and no goals. Freshman

The Bullets won the shooting battle 33-13 and took 16 of 25 draw controls, most of which led directly to goals. Nine different players reached the scoring column with five connecting on at least two goals. Ceglarski led all scorers with six points and added a team-high four draw controls. Moore (four goals, one assist) and Crane (three goals, one assist) each tallied five points, while Stahl (two goals, one assist) and Holbrook (two goals, one assist) notched three points a piece.
Defensively, Gettysburg posted 28 ground balls and caused 16 turnovers by the Falcons. Sophomore
Mary Peters (Cranbury, N.J./Princeton Day School) logged a team-high five ground balls and posted two caused turnovers, while sophomore
Emily Gaffney (Skaneateles, N.Y./Skaneateles) recorded two ground balls and three caused turnovers. Sophomore
Nicole Ditillo (Baldwin, Md./Fallston) scooped up three ground balls and three draw controls for the Bullets.

Kristen Krammer (Woodbine, Md./Glenelg) moved to 5-0 this season by making a pair of saves with four goals allowed in 42:28. Freshman
Laura McIntyre (Glenmoore, Pa./Coatesville) polished off the final 17:32 with three saves.
Messiah was led by Kara Geiman's three goals and one assist. Bethany Koskivitz also notched a goal, while Betsy Caprio posted two ground balls, three draw controls, and two caused turnovers. Falcon goalie Jen Venter posted eight saves.
Gettysburg takes its show on the road this weekend with a Centennial Conference contest at Washington (Md.) College. The game is slated for Saturday, March 15, at 1 p.m.
