SALISBURY, Md. – The Gettysburg College volleyball team wrapped up its weekend trip at the Salisbury Invitational by splitting a pair of non-conference matches. After dropping its first two sets against Susquehanna University, the Bullets bounced back with a pair of wins to force a decisive fifth set where they were finally put down 25-22, 25-21, 21-25, 26-28, 16-14, but the Orange & Blue finally got into the win column on the weekend with a dominant sweep of Catholic University 25-8, 25-23, 25-12.

Junior setter Amanda Krampf (Gaithersburg, Md./Gaithersburg) was named to the All-Tournament Team for Gettysburg (9-9) after averaging 7.57 assists and 2.93 digs per set over four matches. On Saturday, she helped direct the Bullets' comeback against Susquehanna with 32 assists, 20 digs, and five kills. In the finale against Catholic, Krampf posted another double-double with 28 assists and 10 digs.

Sophomore Kate Yoder (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) and junior Kristina Mercier (Baltimore, Md./Mount de Sales Academy) each had big games against the Crusaders with 10 kills and four blocks, while senior Meghan McConville (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) totaled seven kills and two blocks.

Mercier copied her output from her first contest with 10 more kills against Catholic. Freshman Jamie Huffman (Laurel, Md./Reservoir) accumulated nine kills, while junior Stephanie Rickabaugh (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) contributed six kills, two aces, and 11 digs.

In its next scheduled contest, Gettysburg returns to Centennial Conference play where it is perfect through two matches. The Bullets will tangle with long-time rival Franklin & Marshall College on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m. in Lancaster, Pa.
