LANCASTER, Pa. – Junior Hannah Church scored five goals and handed out one assist, leading the second-seeded and seventh-ranked Gettysburg College women's lacrosse team to a 14-7 victory over third-seeded Ursinus College in the Centennial Conference (CC) semifinals Saturday afternoon at tournament host Franklin & Marshall College.

Sophomore Haley Stauch added three goals for the Bullets (14-3), who will now take on top-seeded and sixth-ranked F&M in Sunday's championship game, starting at 1 p.m. It will mark the ninth-straight meeting between in the CC title match between Gettysburg and F&M, which defeated fifth-seeded Washington College 19-5 in the other semifinal.

Gettysburg never trailed and outscored Ursinus 4-1 to start the game. The Bullets led 5-2 at halftime, then broke the game open with a 5-0 midway through the second half. The Orange & Blue outshot the Bears 28-17 and held a commanding 20-3 advantage in draw controls.

Senior defender Becky Lutz, named the Centennial Conference Player of the Year earlier in the week, turned in an impressive performance, posting five caused turnovers and eight draw controls.

Sophomore Lindsey Robinson and senior Marnie Commins contributed two goals and one assist apiece for Gettysburg while junior Maddie Coleman finished with seven saves.

Elizabeth Chatburn scored three goals to lead Ursinus (8-9) while Allison Furman handed out four assists. Jackie Kimmel stopped seven shots in goal.

Church, who posted her fifth five-goal game of the season, put the Bullets on the scoreboard just 52 seconds into the game. Lindsey Urban tied it just over a minute later, but Gettysburg led the rest of the way after scoring three unanswered goals, getting tallies from Church, freshman Katie Blumenthal, and Commins. Ursinus scored with 13:48 on the clock before Stauch answered with 7:30 to go, giving her team its 5-2 halftime advantage.

Church scored the first two goals of the second half to put the Bullets up by five before the Bears used a brief 2-1 surge to make it 8-4 with 20:21 showing. But that's when Gettysburg embarked on its big run, which featured goals from five different players. Stauch capped the spurt, making it 13-4 with 4:55 to go before Ursinus closed the game on a 3-1 run.
