QUICK HITS
1. A victory on Friday night would place the Bullets into a tie with Johns Hopkins for first place in the Centennial Conference standings. A Gettysburg win coupled with a Franklin & Marshall victory over Moravian on Saturday would result in a three-way tie of Gettysburg, Hopkins, and F&M atop the league standings.
2. At 5-1, the Bullets have posted their best record through their first six games since the 1994 team was also 5-1. Gettysburg has also started the year 4-1 in Centennial Conference play for the second year in a row.
3. Gettysburg is ranked among the top-25 in Division III in six different statistical categories. The Bullets lead the nation in kick return average (32.9 ypr) and are fourth in rushing offense (321.8 ypg).

SERIES HISTORY
Gettysburg holds a 20-17-2 lead over Johns Hopkins in the all-time series that began in 1911. The Blue Jays have captured the last four meetings.

LAST TIME OUT
Gettysburg rallied from a 14-point deficit to take the lead with less than six minutes left, but Muhlenberg College answered with a late touchdown on a fake field goal and the Mules came away with a 35-31 victory in Allentown this past Saturday. The Bullets also scored on a fake field goal earlier in the fourth quarter and had taken a 31-28 lead when freshman Robby Fay kicked his first collegiate field goal – a 28-yarder with 5:43 left to play. Senior quarterback Kody Smith passed for three touchdowns and ran for another while sophomore tailback Eddie Hutchins rushed for a season-best 130 yards on just 16 carries. Senior linebacker Larry DelViscio led the defense with a career-high 19 tackles, including 16 solo stops.

Johns Hopkins ran its record to 6-0 with a 49-0 blanking of Dickinson in Carlisle. Senior Jonathan Rigaud rushed for 130 yards and tied a school record with four rushing touchdowns as the Blue Jays pushed their regular season winning streak to 20, their Centennial Conference winning streak to 18, and their road winning streak to 10. Junior Robbie Matey passed for 261 yards and one touchdown while classmate Daniel Wodicka caught six passes for 111 yards. Senior safety Adam Schweyer and freshman linebacker Keith Corliss made eight tackles apiece.

LAST YEAR'S MATCHUP
Johns Hopkins set a Centennial Conference record for points scored and the Blue Jays defeated the Bullets 83-21 at Gettysburg last season. Hewitt Tomlin passed for school records of 501 yards, seven touchdowns, and 39 completions while Daniel Wodicka caught a Blue Jay-record 15 passes for 217 yards. Aden Twer paced Gettysburg with 11 catches - one shy of the school record - for 132 yards and a touchdown while Ted Delia added a 91-yard punt return touchdown for the Bullets.
