BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Fifth-ranked Gettysburg College put the finishing touches on a perfect run through the Centennial Conference regular season with an 18-0 victory over Bryn Mawr College in women's lacrosse action on Saturday.
 
Gettysburg (16-1, 9-0 CC) will host the semifinals and championship of the Centennial Conference Tournament on May 4-5. The Bullets are joined in the tournament by Franklin & Marshall College (13-3, 8-1 CC), Haverford College (13-4, 7-2 CC), Washington College (12-4, 5-4 CC), and McDaniel College (9-7, 5-4 CC). Washington will host McDaniel in the first round game on Wednesday, May 1, with the winner drawing the top-seeded Bullets in one of next Saturday's semifinals. Official times for the playoff games will be released on Monday.
 
Gettysburg wrapped up its second consecutive unbeaten season in the conference by netting 13 goals in the opening period. The Bullets tallied six goals in the first 4:32, ending with sophomore Bridget Kenny (Gladstone, N.J./Bernards) and junior Loren Pruitt (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) scoring just 11 seconds apart.
 
Junior Bailey Beardsley (Union Bridge, Md./Francis Scott Key) dished out assists to sophomores Liz Cocchiola (Lebanon, N.J./North Hunterdon) and Julia Shackleton (Warwick, R.I./Tabor Academy) to close the opening stanza. Beardsley added two goals in the second half as Gettysburg completed the shutout.
 
Gettysburg missed on only six shot attempts in the game and recorded assists on all but three scores. The Bullets led in draw controls (14-6) and ground balls (14-8), while only committing nine turnovers.
 
Senior Lindsey Robinson (Potomac, Md./Holton-Arms) led the way with seven points on three goals and four assists. Robinson moved into a tie with 2008 graduate Katie Ceglarski for fifth on the program's all-time scoring list with 266 points.
 
Junior Kelsey Markiewicz (Taconic, Conn./Berkshire School (Mass.)) tallied her 100th career goal and finished the day with three scores and two assists. Pruitt scored on all three of her shot attempts, while Beardsley and junior Katie Blumenthal (Malvern, Pa./Academy of Notre Dame) each posted two goals and two assists.
 
Freshman Christina Wright (Kingsville, Md./Fallston) logged three ground balls and two caused turnovers for the defensive unit.
 
All three goalies saw time in the cage with freshman Lindsay Clinton (Barto, Pa./Boyertown) earning the victory after starting the first 15:30.
