GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Seventh-ranked Gettysburg College wrapped up the top seed for the Centennial Conference Tournament as the senior class factored into all but four goals in a 20-1 victory over Bryn Mawr College at Clark Field on Saturday afternoon.
 
Gettysburg (14-2, 8-1 CC) will host the conference semifinals and championship on May 3-4. It will be the third consecutive season the Bullets have hosted the event. Joining the hosts in the tournament will be Franklin & Marshall College (14-4, 8-1 CC), Washington College (11-4, 7-2 CC), McDaniel College (9-7, 5-4 CC), and Muhlenberg (10-6, 4-5 CC). The Green Terror will host the Mules in the first round on Wednesday, April 30, with the winner facing Gettysburg in the semifinals.
 
Gettysburg's six seniors were honored prior to Saturday's contest and then they shined during the game, totaling 10 goals and six assists. Bailey Beardsley (Blue Ridge Summit, Pa./Union Bridge) and Kelsey Markiewicz (Taconic, Conn./Berkshire School (Mass.)) scored back-to-back goals 40 seconds apart to make it 4-0 at 24:07.
 
Alyssa Young scored in transition to give Bryn Mawr (6-11, 0-9 CC) its lone goal at 23:26. Beardsley turned in her second tally 30 seconds later to jump-start a 10-goal run to end the half.
 
In the final period, the younger Bullets took over with freshman Emily Scullin (Newtown Square, Pa./Great Valley) leading the way with a pair of goals. Senior defender Paige McKenna (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) reached the scoring column for the first time in her career, breaking the plane of the goal at 15:55.
 
Beardsley paced the offensive effort by tying her career high for goals (5) and points (6). Markiewicz posted three goals, one assist, and five draw controls, while senior Katie Blumenthal (Malvern, Pa./Academy of Notre Dame) finished with a goal and two assists. Scullin scored a season-high three goals and senior Loren Pruitt (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) and sophomore Maggie Connolly (Winchester, Mass./Winchester) each dished out a pair of assists.
 
Junior Bridget Kenny (Gladstone, N.J./Bernards) led Gettysburg to a 21-2 advantage in draw controls. Kenny finished with seven draw controls in the contest and pushed into second place on the program's draw control list for a season. She has 77 on the year and trails only Megan Murphy '03, who finished with a school and Centennial Conference record 116 in 2001.
 
Defensively, Gettysburg held Bryn Mawr to just two shots. McKenna added a ground ball and a caused turnover to her goal, while junior Allie Clark (Wynnewood, Pa./Episcopal Academy) scooped up two ground balls and a draw control.
 
Freshman Catherine Towers (Midlothian, Va./St. Anne's Belfield) earned the start in goal and made one save in the first half.
 
Gettysburg will play in the conference tournament semifinals next Saturday, May 3. Official game times will be announced on Monday.
