GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The top rushing offense in the Centennial Conference meets the top rushing defense as Gettysburg College meets Moravian College on the gridiron at 1 p.m. this Saturday at Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium.

THE COACHES
Barry Streeter enters his 38th season at the helm of Gettysburg's football program. Streeter is the longest-tenured active coach in Division III and his 192 wins place him seventh among active coaches. Streeter has led Gettysburg to three Centennial Conference championships (1983-85) and he has twice been named CC Coach of the Year. In 1985, he led the Bullets to the only undefeated regular season in school history (9-0-1) and an appearance in the national semifinals. Streeter is a 1971 graduate of Lebanon Valley and he is a member of the Dutchmen's Hall of Fame.
Jeff Pukszyn has spent the last 16 years as a member of the Moravian coaching staff, including the last six as head coach. Pukszyn is 23-35 as the Greyhounds' head coach. Last season he guided the team to an 8-3 overall record and a berth in the inaugural Centennial Conference-Middle Atlantic Conference Bowl Series. As a player, Pukszyn was a two-time captain and two-time All-MAC selection with the Greyhounds from 1993-96.
THE SERIES
Gettysburg leads the all-time series with Moravian 10-4, including a 5-1 record at home. The Greyhounds have won each of the last three meetings.
LAST MEETING
A 21-point first quarter deficit was too much for Gettysburg to overcome in a 35-32 setback to Moravian last fall. The Greyhounds scored on each of their first three possessions with a 26-yard run by
Eli Redmond making it 21-0 with four minutes left in the first quarter. The Bullets battled back behind quarterback
Sam McDermott '16, who threw four touchdowns, incuding a six-yard toss to
Kevin McCarthy '16 to pull Gettysburg to 35-32 with 7:45 left. Moravian ate up nearly seven minutes with a 16-play drive on the ensuing possession. The Bullets forced a turnover on downs deep in their own territory, but were unable to get back down the field in the remaining time. McDermott finished 21-of-34 for 240 yards and
Paul Lowry '16 added 59 yards rushing on 14 carries. Tight end
Fred Pulzello '16 hauled in five catches for 58 yards.
Chris Miller '17 (Manasquan, N.J./Manasquan) picked up 11 tackles for the Bullets, including a pair of sacks.
Mike Hayes finished 23-of-30 for 241 yards and three touchdowns, while
Chris Negron carried the ball 37 times for 139 yards and a score.
LAST TIME OUT
Seventh-ranked Johns Hopkins scored on six of its first seven possessions and handed Gettysburg a 54-14 setback last Friday. The Bullets jumped on the board to start the second half as junior quarterback
Justin Davidov (Ossining, N.Y./Ossining) posted 49 yards rushing on an 81-yard drive, including a four-yard touchdown. Davidov accounted for the team's second score as well with a 37-yard heave to junior wide receiver
Ty Abdul-Karim (Washington, D.C./Woodberry Forest (Va.)). Davidov finished with 84 yards rushing on 14 carries, while senior wide receiver
Jordan Kelso (Cookstown, N.J./Bordentown Regional) picked up 38 yards receiving on his way to eclipsing 1,000 for his career. Sophomore
Jake Skinner (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) posted a game-high 13 tackles.
SCOUTING MORAVIAN
Franklin & Marshall scored 24-straight points over the second and third quarters to get by Moravian 24-17 last Saturday. Following a field goal by F&M in the third quarter with made it 24-7, Moravian sliced the deficit with a 22-yard field goal by
Kenny Kane and a six-yard touchdown reception by
Liam Nolan. The Greyhounds went three-and-out on their final drive while the Diplomats held the ball for the final 3:38.
Kordell Theadford posted 108 yards rushing on 10 carries, while Nolan finished with 61 yards receiving on six catches.
Edward Delia racked up a game-high 18 tackles, including 2.5 for a loss. Moravian ranks among the Centennial's top four in most offensive categories, including second in both passing yards per game (277.6) and rushing touchdowns (17). The Greyhounds also rank second in the conference with 11 interceptions. Quarterback
Mike Hayes paces the CC in passing with 270.3 yards per game, while Negron is one of only two players averaging better than 100 rushing yards per game. Negron has averaged 162 yards rushing in three prior meetings with Gettysburg. Delia is the top stopper in the league with 12.7 tackles per game.
QB RUSHING TDs

Justin Davidov scored his team-best seventh rushing touchdown of the season last time out at Johns Hopkins. Davidov is tied for the conference lead in rushing touchdowns by a QB and he is four short of the program record established by
Kody Smith '13 in 2012.
1,000 YARDS
Senior
Jordan Kelso reached 1,000 career receiving yards with a 25-yard reception in the first quarter at Johns Hopkins. Kelso is the 12th Bullet to reach the mark and first since
Aden Twer '13 in 2012. Kelso currently sits 11th on the program's career list with 1,034 career yards, all of which have come in the last three seasons.
DEEP THREAT
Junior wide receiver
Ty Abdul-Karim has hauled in five touchdown catches to lead the team and rank fourth in the conference this season. All of his touchdown catches have gone for at least 29 yards, including a career-long 37-yarder against Johns Hopkins. Four of the five scores were thrown by junior

TOP STOPPER
Sophomore
Jake Skinner has taken over as Gettysburg's top tackler. Skinner has climbed to second in the Centennial with 72 tackles this fall. He has posted double-figures in four of the last five outings, including a career-high 16 against Susquehanna.

Matt McFadden's (Morristown, N.J./Morristown-Beard) 53-yard rushing touchdown against Juniata is a finalist for GEICO Play of the Year. McFadden beat out three other nominees in a weekly poll and is eligible for the top award which will be announced during the Best of College Football on CBS Friday, Nov. 25, at 1:30 p.m. The winning play will be determined by fan vote from Oct. 31-Nov. 7. RUSHING OFFENSE VS. RUSHING DEFENSE
Gettysburg enters today's game as the top rushing team in the Centennial Conference at over 201 yards per game. The Bullets have gone for over 200 yards on the ground four times this fall, including 335 against Juniata. Moravian features the top rushing defense at just 94.7 yards allowed. The Greyhounds did not allow an opponent to exceed 97 yards on the ground in the first five games of the year and held Ursinus to just five rushing yards.
YOU'RE IN THE ARMY NOW
Prior to the game, two Gettysburg football players will be contracted into the Army. Sophomore Jared McCully (Massillon, Ohio/Jackson) and freshman Charles Clewis (Purcellville, Va./Woodgrove) will take the oath of enlistment from ROTC Professor of Military Science, LTC Joe Wyszynski. For their scholastic, athletic and leadership potential, the two cadets have been awarded United States Army Cadet Command scholarships valued at approximately $150,000-$200,000.
