GALLOWAY, N.J.The Gettysburg College women's basketball team set the nets ablaze with an incredible shooting performance on the way to a 91-67 victory over Western Connecticut State University in the consolation game of the Stockton University Tip-Off Tournament Saturday.

Gettysburg (1-1) canned 35-of-61 field goals for a shooting percentage of 57.4. The team also knocked down 12-of-16 (75 percent) three-pointers. The 91 points tied the best scoring output since a 94-point effort against Ursinus College in 2004.

Western Connecticut (0-2) broke out with the first eight points of the game, but Gettysburg came back with the next nine and took its first lead on a jumper by freshman Olivia Briggs (Ocean View, N.J./Ocean City). The Bullets ended a high-scoring first quarter with a 27-23 advantage.

Gettysburg's lead hit 21 (57-36) on a jumper by Gibbons just before the mid-point of the third quarter. An old-fashioned three-point play by freshman Ashley Gehrin (Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham) made it 72-42 late in the third quarter.

The Bullets took only 11 shots attempts in the final quarter, but came away with eight makes, including 3-of-4 tries from beyond the arc. The lead hit a game-high 31 (79-48) on a three-pointer by freshman Kiera Cesareo (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) with 7:48 left.
