ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – The 25th Annual Sara Lee/Butter Krust Baking Golf Classic presented by The Cly-Del Manufacturing Co., went down in history as a record-breaking success thanks to the multitude of participants and generous sponsors and contributors.
 
This year's event featured 238 golfers competing at the Hanover Country Club on June 2. The competition was divided between two flights: Orange and Blue. After seeing a three-way tie in 2016, this year's event came down to a four-way tie. The scorecards from the four groups were compared and the top team coming out of the pile was the foursome of Eric Wolf '92, Sean McTernin '04, Tim McGinnis '03, and Bill Stedman '91.
 
The contributions from the golfers, sponsorships, and online auction items resulted in a record-breaking $170,000 to support Gettysburg's athletics program!
