HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Gettysburg College men's tennis team saw its three-match winning streak halted with a 7-2 loss to Thomas More University on Tuesday.
Thomas More (6-8) stole ahead with wins at second and third doubles against Gettysburg (5-2) before the tandem of sophomore
Mike Mills (Cape Elizabeth, Maine/Cape Elizabeth) and senior
Kevin Maier (Alpharetta, Ga./Milton) posted an 8-5 victory at No. 1. Mills and Maier improved to 4-0 as a doubles pair this season.
The Saints wrapped up the team decision with five singles victories, including third-set tiebreakers at No. 2 and No. 5. Sophomore
Harrison Brown (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) tallied Gettysburg's final point with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Josh Huster at sixth singles.
Gettysburg closes its spring trip against Lawrence Technological University Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.
