FORT PIERCE, Fla. – Seven different players recorded at least two hits as Gettysburg College (6-2) continued its hitting onslaught with 22 base hits in a 16-2 victory over Marymount (Va.) University (11-6) Thursday morning.

Game Summary
- The Bullets scored the game's first run in the third inning with Seibert hitting a lead-off double and scoring from third on a pick-off at first base later in the frame. Marymount answered in the home half of the frame with Leitzel coming across on a sacrifice fly after poking a triple to right-center with one out.
- The floodgates opened in the fourth and fifth innings for Gettysburg. Senior Joe Giovinco (Stirling, N.J./Seton Hall Prep) brought home a run with a double to left field before scoring on a single by Gasparro in the fourth. In the fifth inning, 13 Bullets went to the plate and combined for eight runs on nine hits. Five consecutive hits opened the frame, including a run-scoring triple by sophomore Andrew Decker (Baltimore, Md./Perkiomen Valley). Muir laced a two-run single through the right side and LaCoe closed the scoring with an RBI single to center field to make it 11-1.
- The Bullets added a run in the sixth and three more in the seventh, with three of those tallies coming across unearned. The final offensive blow came from freshman Adam Zakaria (Lawrenceville, N.J./Lawrence) who led off the ninth with his first collegiate home run.
- Junior Dan Ball (Bernardsville, N.J./Bernards) started the game and allowed two runs on four hits before giving away to Havard. The senior right-hander threw four shutout innings, allowing only two hits and fanning four. Senior John Braun (Ambler, Pa./La Salle College) tossed a scoreless ninth to finish the game.

- In two meetings with Marymount this season, Gettysburg recorded 28 runs and 41 hits. Thirteen of those base knocks went for extra bases.
- The Bullets logged a season-high 22 hits, which was the team's best total since whacking 25 against Hiram in 2016. The team also posted seven doubles on Thursday, marking the most two-baggers in a game since 2015.
