COCKEYSVILLE, Md. – Junior
Connor Elliott (Media, Pa./Salesianum) placed 25th among 103 runners to lead the Gettysburg College men's cross country team to a sixth-place finish at the Centennial Conference Championship on Saturday at the Center for Maryland Agriculture and Farm Park in Cockeysville, Md., hosted by Johns Hopkins University.

The Finish Line
- The Bullets finished with a team score of 180 in an extremely competitive meet that featured three nationally-ranked teams.
- Twenty-second ranked Haverford College had four runners finish in the top-10 to capture the team title with 37 points. No. 21 Johns Hopkins University was second with 45 points, and No. 35 Dickinson College was third with 83 points to round out the top three teams.
- Dickinson's Christopher Scharf won the individual title in an 8,000-meter time of 25:22, beating Haverford's Ryan Kredell by ten seconds.
- Elliott paced the Bullets for the third week in a row as he clocked 27:09 with an average mile time of 5:28 on the 8K course. He improved his conference finish by a remarkable 22 spots from the 2019 meet.
- Senior Luke Matzke (Collegeville, Pa./Malvern Prep) was Gettysburg's No. 2 runner, crossing the finish line in 27:55 to place 40th, while classmate Dylan McKeever (Furlong, Pa./Central Bucks East) was close behind to take 42nd in 27:59.
- Rounding out the team scoring were seniors Charles Norelli (Allentown, Pa./Emmaus), who placed in 61st in 28:46, and Will Hopkins (Raleigh, N.C./Needham B. Broughton), who claimed 69th in 29:05.
- Finishing as displacers were sophomore Noah Albanese (Castleton On Hudson, N.Y./Maple Hill), who came 78th with a personal record of 29:47, and senior Jack Kenyon (Centerport, N.Y./Harborfields), who took 81st in 29:50.

Gettysburg takes a week off before competing at the NCAA Division III Regional, hosted by Dickinson College and held at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pa., on Nov. 13.
