USTFCCCA Regional Ranking
 
NEW ORLEANS – For the fourth consecutive week, the Gettysburg College men's cross country team has been ranked in the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional poll, as released on Tuesday by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
 
The Bullets maintain the No. 7 spot for the second straight week in the regional rankings. Last Saturday, junior Connor Elliott (Media, Pa./Salesianum) placed 47th out of 404 runners to lead Gettysburg to a 15th-place finish among 33 teams at the Mike Woods Invite hosted by SUNY Geneseo. The Orange and Blue finished with a score of 398 points while Elliott, senior Will Hopkins (Raleigh, N.C./Needham B. Broughton), and Luke Matzke (Collegeville, Pa./Malvern Prep) set personal-records in the largest race of the season.
 
Five other Centennial Conference institutions join Gettysburg in the regional rankings. For the fifth week in a row, Johns Hopkins University holds the top spot in the Mid-Atlantic region, with Dickinson College at No. 3. Haverford College holds the top spot for the fifth consecutive week in the Metro Region followed, by Ursinus College (No. 6) and Swarthmore College (No. 7).

Gettysburg takes a week off from competition before hosting the newly named Aubrey Shenk Invite on Oct. 16.
