Andrew Decker (Baltimore, Md./Towson) scored three runs and freshman
Andrew Donlan (Haddam, Conn./Avon Old Farms) brought in three runs as Gettysburg College (4-8) won game two 10-4 to salvage a split with McDaniel College (3-9) in Centennial Conference baseball action Friday afternoon.

Breakdown
- McDaniel jumped out to the early lead with three hits in their opening at bat. Connor Uhrig plated the first run with a double to right field, while the second run came home on a sacrifice fly by McGuire.
- Gettysburg picked up its first run in the top of the third. Decker knocked a base hit to left field with two outs and came around to score on a double to left-center by Short.
- After entering the game in the second inning, Ball was hit up for the only run he allowed in the third inning when McGuire slapped a run-scoring single through the left side. The Green Terror managed to get runners on second and third, but Ball worked out of the jam with a ground out to first base. The senior right-hander retired 11 of the final 12 batters he faced.
- The Bullets had a chance to take the lead in the sixth inning with one run coming home on a fielder's choice. Junior Matt Muir (South Easton, Mass./Oliver Ames) stole second base to set runners on second and third, but O'Brochta fanned senior Kobi Wolf (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) to end the threat.

Breakdown
- Decker and Donlan set the tone with a single and walk, respectively, to start the game. Decker came around to score on a double by Short, while Donlan scampered home on a sacrifice fly by senior Matt Szczesny (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley).
- Decker led off the third inning with a double down the right-field line and Donlan brought him home with a single to right field. Gettysburg's advantage reached 4-0 on a run-scoring single by Szczesny that brought in Dolan.
- The Bullets doubled the advantage in the top of the fourth inning. Decker drove home the first run and scored on a single by Short. Manieri connected on his second home run of the spring to put two more runs on the board and make it 8-0.
- McDaniel broke through for four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and was poised for more with a pair of runners on base. Senior Myles Burbank (Rye, N.Y./Rye) induced a fly out to right field to end the threat.
- Donlan continued his recent hot streak by knocking in two more runs with a single to right field in the fifth inning. The first-year second baseman is 11-of-18 (.611) over the last six games and has raised his season average to a team-best .395.
- Spadaccini threw three scoreless frames with four strikeouts to earn the win.
