GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Gettysburg College women's basketball team swept the series against Dickinson College by taking a 58-44 victory to stay unbeaten in Centennial Conference action Wednesday night in Bream Gym.

Game Summary
  • First Quarter: Gettysburg never trailed in the game, but the first four minutes of action remained close. A lay-up by Tinner triggered the Bullets to a 9-0 run to take an 18-7 lead. The Orange and Blue played astonishing defense as the Red Devils never scored in the last six minutes of the quarter.  
  • Second Quarter: The Bullets and Red Devils struggled on the offensive end in the second quarter, shooting 25 percent (4-of-16) and 16.7 percent (3-of-18), respectively. Despite the low shooting percentage, Gettysburg led a first-half best 16-points off a Donohoe lay-up at 5:20. The Orange and Blue took a 27-15 advantage at halftime.  
  • Third Quarter: Gettysburg and Dickinson each netted eight points apiece with three minutes to go before Donohoe went on a hot streak. The freshman forward notched the last eight points of the third quarter to keep Gettysburg ahead 43-29.
  • Fourth Quarter: The Bullets held their largest lead of the game at 19 points off a Cynthia Williams (North Brunswick, N.J./Hill School) lay-up, and the margin never dipped below 13 until 2:11. The Red Devils went on a 9-0 run that was capped by a three-pointer from Jennifer Kremp to make it 54-43. Gettysburg held Dickinson to just one point after that to secure the victory. 
By the Numbers
  • The Bullets concluded by going 21-of-61 (34.4 percent) from the field and 15-of-22 (68.2 percent) from the free throw line. The Red Devils went 18-of-64 (28.1 percent) from the floor and 7-of-10 (70 percent) from the charity stripe.
  • The Orange and Blue outrebounded 51-33.
  • Donohoe tied a season-high 11 points. She tallied 11 points at Haverford College in December.
  • With her three blocks, Tinner ranks fifth in the conference.
  • Head Coach Nate Davis is one-game shy of capturing his 200th career victory.
Where the Series Stands
Gettysburg swept Dickinson for the first time since the 2017-18 season. The Bullets maintain the all-time series record at 61-27.
