Bullets Soar Past Owls

Gettysburg picks up 73-34 road victory

Bryn Mawr, Pa. – Freshman Delaney Donohoe (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) posted her first career double-double to lead three double-figure scorers as Gettysburg College soared past Bryn Mawr College 73-34 Thursday night inside Class of 1958 Gymnasium.

Game Summary
  • First Quarter: Bryn Mawr took an early 4-0 lead before Gettysburg gained control. Back-to-back three-pointers by Szlosek and a jumper by Sauve pushed the Bullets ahead 8-4 at 4:24. The Orange and Blue went on a 6-4 run in the final minutes to remain in front 14-8 at the end of the stanza.
  • Second Quarter: Rice drained a trey to open the second quarter and netted another six points to help Gettysburg to a 30-13 advantage at halftime. The Bullets outscored the Owls 16-5.   
  • Third Quarter: Donohoe was red-hot and finished the third quarter with 14 points and seven rebounds as Gettysburg cruised to a 30-point lead.
  • Fourth Quarter: The Bullets' lead reached to 39 (73-34) on a lay-up by freshman Cynthia Williams (North Brunswick, N.J./Hill School) with 39 seconds remaining in the game.

  • Gettysburg finished 33-of-74 (44.6 percent) from the field, while Bryn Mawr shot 24.5 percent (12-of-49) from the floor.
  • The Bullets outrebounded the Owls 53-29.
  • Gettysburg remains undefeated in Centennial Conference action with an 11-0 record.
  • Donohoe corralled her first career double-double.
