THE SKINNY STORY
Dickinson limited Gettysburg to a season-low 43 points in a 48-43 victory.

THE LEADERS
• Shinya Lee (Rochester, N.Y./Holderness Prep School) led the Bullets with eight points, eight rebounds, five blocked shots, and three steals.
• Alayna Arnolie (Vienna, Va./James Madison) added a team-best nine points to go with six rebounds and three assists.
• Kylie Holcomb (Enola, Pa./Cumberland Valley) chipped in eight points.

FOR THE FOES
• Clair Marion led the Red Devils with 13 points to go with five rebounds and five steals.
• Kate Montgomery added 12 points and eight rebounds.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Dickinson jumped out to a 4-0 lead before Gettysburg responded with four straight of its own to draw even with 7:30 on the clock. A Kate Montgomery jumper put the Red Devils back in front 53 seconds later before neither team could find the basket for 2 minutes, 26 seconds. A Mackenzie Szlosek (Holtsville, N.Y./Sachem East) layup drew the game even once again and Kylie Holcomb drained a triple from the left wing for a 9-6 advantage. Dickinson, however, tallied the final five of the first quarter to take an 11-9 lead.
• The Red Devil run continued into the second quarter, stretching to nine in a row before back-to-back Alayna Arnolie 3-pointer snapped a scoring drought of more than seven minutes, closing the margin to 15-14. A Szlosek driving layup put the hosts back in front and forced a timeout with 5:18 to play. The teams went back and forth until Dickinson scored six straight to take a 23-18 lead. A Shinya Lee layup with 18 seconds left closed the margin to 23-20 at the break.
• A pair of Clair Marion baskets around an Emily Violante three-point play made it a 27-23 game three minutes into the third quarter. The Dickinson lead swelled as large as 33-23 with 3:54 showing before six straight Gettysburg points closed the margin to 34-30 before a Montgomery putback just beat the buzzer to make it a six-point game after three quarters.
• Two Arnolie free throws in the opening 94 seconds of the fourth quarter made it a 36-32 game but the Red Devils scored the next five to push the lead back out to nine on a Caitlin Blackman second-chance jumper with 6:26 remaining. After a Lee jumper made it 41-34, the Dickinson lead remained between five and eight points the rest of the way despite the Red Devils going just 3 of 8 from the free-throw line in the final 37 seconds.

THE INSIDE STORY
• Dickinson entered the game as the top scoring defense in the CC at 49.0 points per game. The Red Devils have held each of their first six opponents of the season to 55 or fewer points.
• Gettysburg finished with a 37-35 edge on the glass and forced 17 Dickinson turnovers but shot just 29.3 percent from the floor while the Red Devils hit 34.6 percent of their shots.
