Muhlenberg won six of the first seven matches to defeat Gettysburg 34-7 in the Centennial Conference opener for both teams.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Brandon Bowles opened the night with a 12-3 win at 157 to stake Muhlenberg to a 4-0 lead before
Justin Rhyne countered with a 6-2 victory at 165 to pull Gettysburg within 4-3.
• Anson Dewar's 1-minute, 48-second fall at 174, however, started a run of five straight victories for the Mules that expanded the lead to 25-4 after six bouts. Ryan Fairchild had a forfeit win at 184 before Angelo Mahaffey captured a close 8-6 victory at 197. Ben Krauss (heavyweight) and Joey Lamparelli (125) won by 6-1 and 6-2 margins, respectively.

Luke Kowalski (Derwood, Md./St. John's College) halted the run with a 12-2 major decision win at 133 to make it 25-7 but Muhlenberg captured the final two matches, including the Michael Ruane pin in 47 seconds at 149 to wrap up the night. Christopher Dalman won 8-4 at 141.
