Tonight's Centennial Conference (CC) meet marks the 104th meeting between Gettysburg (1-1, 1-1 CC) and Franklin & Marshall (3-0, 3-0 CC) in men's swimming. The Bullets lead the all-time series 64-38-1. It is the 54th meeting on the women's side between Gettysburg (2-1, 2-1 CC) and Franklin & Marshall (3-0, 3-0 CC). The Bullets lead that series, 47-6.

WHEN THE MEN LAST MET: Franklin & Marshall won eight of 14 events in a 146-116 win over Gettysburg last season. Nick Cox won the 50 backstroke (24.34) and 100 backstroke (52.57). Luke McKenna also earned gold in two races, winning the 500 freestyle (4:57.32) and the 1000 freestyle (10:05.32). Matthew Hopkins racked up three firsts and a third for the Diplomats. 

WHEN THE WOMEN LAST MET: Gettysburg took gold in half of the meet's events to down Franklin & Marshall 143-119 last season. Mia Yancey took first as part of the 400 medley relay (4:04.74) and individually in the 200 freestyle (1:58.91), 100 freestyle (54.87). She also placed second as part of the 200 freestyle relay (1:41.09). Sophie Moyer placed first in the 100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke for the Diplomats, and as part of the 200 freestyle relay.

LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg opened the season, defeating two of the three opponents at the Centennial Conference quad to open the season. Mia Yancey placed first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:56.52, almost two seconds faster than second place. She also took first place in the 100 freestyle, swimming a time of 53.22 seconds. Olivia Pyott took first place in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:26.04, more than two seconds faster than second place. She also swam to second place in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:08.22… On the men's side, the Bullets split a pair of results in the season-opening quad last Saturday. Charlie Cross won the 100 and 200 breaststroke events as well as the 200 IM. Sam Nelson and Harry Nelson finished 1-2 in the 1000 freestyle, with times of 9:45.48 and 10:03.77.

SCOUTING THE MEN: Sam Nelson made his Gettysburg debut with a time of 9:45.48 in the 1000 free last Saturday, already ranking fifth in program history. It was one of seven individual wins at the conference quad. Charlie Cross tallied three of those victories, touching first in both breaststroke events and the 200 IM. Nelson also grabbed a gold in the 500 free (4:49.81). Max McAlister added a win in the 200 fly (1:57.82) while Edward Kim also opened his Bullet career with a victory, touching first in the 200 back (1:54.68) and nearly breaking into the program's all-time top 10.

SCOUTING THE WOMEN: Gettysburg had 14 individual top-three finishes in the conference quad to open the season last Saturday. Mia Yancey recorded two of the three wins. Half of those 14 top-three finishes were recorded by Bullet rookies. Lanie McKenzie had a second-place finish in the 200 IM and placed third in both the 100 and 200 backstrokes. Ava Berry was second in the 1000 free and third in the 500 free while Delaney Reck (100 free) and Paige McKim (1000 free) added a third-place showing in a single event.

SCOUTING THE MEN: Franklin & Marshall toppled Dickinson, Ursinus, and Washington last Saturday in its own Centennial Quad. The Diplomats saw 21 top-three finishes, including eight in first place. Leading the way for F&M was John Devaney, who helped capture wins in the 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay while also placing first individually in the 50 and 100 freestyle. In the 100 butterfly, Evan Willertz, who was a part of the 200 medley relay, finished first. Other individuals wins for the Diplomats included Henry Tavens (200 free), Sean Conley (100 back) and Patrick Rooney (100 breast). 
 

SCOUTING THE WOMEN: Franklin & Marshall defeated Dickinson, Ursinus and Washington in the other Centennial Quad at home last Saturday. The Diplomats had 13 top-three finishes, including five in first place. Sophie Moyer accounted for three of the first-place finishes, including individual wins in the 100 and 200 breaststroke as well as the top time in the 200 medley relay. Catherine Crampton registered a win in the 200 IM while Helen Lahmann-Metcalfe finished in first in the 50 free in addition to being a part of the 200 medley relay.
